Since yesterday evening, the Mauritian Prime Minister has announced a national lockdown, for a period of 2 weeks, effective 06h00 a.m (GMT +4) this morning.

All residents are to stay at home, except for essential activities, given the number of coronavirus cases rose from 3 to 7. This decision comes to complement the previous address whereby a restriction has been applied on all inbound passenger flights to Mauritius.

While Air Mauritius, the national carrier has announced several flight cancellations, other airlines are rescheduling their flight days, with sometimes leading to suspension as well

Both airport and seaport are still operating, though at a reduced level. We will soon provide more details on the situation, including our business continuity plan’s arrangements and work-from-home strategy.
