MUMBAI- Air
Situation normal

  • Monsoon has started in Mumbai area.  Airlines have made it mandatory to plastic shrink wrap packages to protect from getting wet. Shippers have been advised regarding precautions that have to be taken.
  • No space issue with airlines at this time but peak time rates are still maintained by airlines.

DELHI – Sea Export

  • AT ICD Loni: Pendency of 3-4 days for railing to Mumbai port
  • and 3-4 days to Mundra port
  • ICD FARIDABAD: Currently Rail movement are normal.
  • CFS PATPARGANJ: Currently Rail movement are normal.
  • ICD DADRI: Currently Rail movement are normal.
  • ICD: TUGHLAKABAD (TKD): TRUCKS taking more then 4-5 hours to off load the cargo at Port [TKD ]
  • TKD Port Authority no allowed more than 80 carting in a day
  • Currently Rail movement are normal.

Delhi -Sea Import

  • From PIPAVA: Huge Congestion at port – Containers are taking min 9-10 days i/o 4-5 days to rail out for import shipments.
  • From PIPAVA- Containers are railed out from Pipava on double Decker train and at CMLK the train off loads the upper containers and leaves with the below containers only.  The offloaded containers take another 2 to 3 days to arrive at New Delhi.

DELHI – Air

  • Airport Situation Normal at this point in time
  • Some Airlines require 1-2 days advance booking

CHENNAI & TUTICORIN- Sea
CHENNAI SEA PORT

  • Presently Chennai  Ports – Operations are going normal.
  • 20’ & 40’HQ container Equipment shortage in Tuticorin Port with carrier like : MSC/ CMA-CGM/ MOL SHIPPING/ HANJIN / K-LINE on priority wise as they are allotting the container depend upon availability.
  • Ex. Chennai :  Some carriers like PIL, MOL, MSC informed that there are congestion at Singapore for Africa sector expecting minimum one week rollover presently.

TUTICORIN – SEA PORT

  • Please note that Tuticorin Port 30th July, 2014 started truckers strike which got called off on Saturday (2/8/14) at PM hours.  However export gate carting still remains closed since terminal is giving priority for evacuation of import containers  as the yard is already full.
  • Current inventory at PSA terminal stands at 3800 Teus and inventory beyond 3500 Teus will be declared as congestion by the terminal

Impact

  • Export carting was reduced to 48 hours by PSA terminal due to delay in clearance of import consignments.
  • Move count restriction has been imposed on export /Import volumes on further voyages.
  • There will be HUGE delay in truck movements due to congestion.
  • Also note DS Ability v.390 expected to berth today AM hours has been cancelled and planned to berth on Thursday.

CHENNAI Air

  • Mostly airlines  [ JET, ETIHAD, AIR FRANCE / SINGAPORE/ QATAR/B.A. ] going full  / OVER BOOKED for France and mostly  destinations of  Europe / USA  SV having some problem in their HUB (RIYADH/ JEDAH)
  • There are heavy rush in Chennai Air Port cargo terminal.

BANGALORE Air

  • Airport Situation Normal at this point in time
  • Some Airlines required 1-2 days’ advance booking
