Delhi Airport:

  • NORMAL: No Operational issues at all at this point in time.
  • Most airlines have increased Fuel surcharge.
  • Need to book in advance with all airlines as they are going full and booked for next 2-3 days.
  • Fumigation is a must now with airlines if goods are made of WOOD or packed in wooden crates.

Sea

  • AT ICD Loni:  Container takes 2-3 days for railing to Mumbai port.
  • ICD FARIDABAD: Container takes 2-3 days for railing to Mumbai port
  • CFS PATPARGANJ (PPG): Container takes 1-2 days for railing to Mumbai port
  • ICD DADRI: System are working very slow.
  • ICD TUGHLAKABAD (TKD): Generally Container takes 2-3 days for railing to Mumbai port but since 10th October 2013, Custom Systems are not working properly.
  • Custom broker agents are getting the cargo carting permission on time same will take 3-4 days. Vehicle Entry gates are not opened properly, gates are opened just for 3-4 hrs in a day.  

Due to this heavy jam occurs.

  • In PIPAVAV: Pendency of containers approx. 3800TEUS  are  standing there since 4th October 2013 for ICD TKD

West Major Ports

Air  
Mumbai Airport:

  • NORMAL: No issues at all at this point in time.
  • Most airlines have increased Fuel surcharge.
  • Space constraint with MK even after adding one additional flight.

May see some rush from 21st October’2013  since many shipments may be converted to air due to strike going on in NSICT port.
                                                                                                                                                               
Sea
NHAVA SHEVA

  • Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust ( JNPT): Normal, but may get affected as movement will be diverted there.
  • Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (NSICT) : Strike since 15th October. Due to port strike, all operational activities are badly effected.
  • All empty & stuffed containers movement  are hampered due to Jam.  ATTACHED PHOTOGRAPHS FOR REFERENCE.
  • Gateway Terminals India Pvt Ltd (GTI) : Normal, but may get affected as movement will be diverted there.
  • CONCOR : Rail movement affected for incoming and outgoing as containers have piled up.
  • Pipavav there is around 3800 TEUs pendency for Tughlakabad, hence there is 13-14 days dwell time of containers for railing after discharge at Pipavav so containers will rail out on 29th October ‘2013.
  • Most shipping line like Maersk, SAF, CMA, MSC operate from NSICT terminal where operations are affected due to strike.  Gate is open but movement is in complete halt.  Kilometers long queue of  trucks are waiting to gate in containers since 14th October evening.
  • The problem will persist even after strike is called off because of the huge backlog.
  • Many shipping are planning to divert their vessel to other terminals
  • Lines have reduced their berthing time thus loading limited containers on board.
  • Most co-loaders who were using SAF & Maersk for LEH / Mauritius will be planning through other shipping lines due to the strike.  Can expect longer transit time.
  • Most shipping line may implement GRI from November 2013.

South Major Ports

  • Air Port – Situation is normal now. 

Sea
CHENNAI & TUTICORIN

  • CHENNAI     : Normal
  • TUTICORIN: Normal

EX – Colombo  to EUROPE –  no vessel  this week on 23rd October’ 2013 under AEX Service (EVERGREEN/ HANJIN/K-LINE)
